Finding My Voice: From Surviving to Thriving (And Helping You Do the Same)
A Space for Vulnerability and Transformation, Together
Three years ago, I wrote my magnum opus1 at the age of 35 detailing my history with anxiety, panic disorder, and alcohol abuse. It wasn't easy. It took many years to truly understand my struggles, let alone accept them and find the courage to share them openly.
When I wrote that, I had yet to feel a true sense of knowing that I could not only handle it all but thrive because of my experiences. I knew that I wanted to help others and destigmatize mental health and substance abuse. I also knew that I wanted to inspire others to be vulnerable and authentic in their lives.
The response to that single post was humbling and made me very emotional:
Two individuals reached out, letting me know they were seeking professional help for alcohol addiction after reading it.2
Hundreds of comments flooded my social media, thanking me for my openness and willingness to share.
More than twenty people contacted me directly, sharing their own or their loved ones' battles with anxiety, depression, or substance abuse, expressing gratitude for shedding light on these often-hidden struggles.
While I didn't start a global movement or become an overnight influencer, the impact was undeniable. Yet, I hesitated to lean into it further. Why?
Because despite sharing my story, I still felt like I was figuring things out. Admitting your struggles is a crucial first step, but it's different from possessing the deep-seated confidence that you can navigate life's storms and emerge stronger. And help others do the same. I had cleared the first hurdle – vulnerability.
But I realized there was another hurdle: profound personal transformation. Simply sharing my past wasn't enough. I wanted to guide people beyond vulnerability towards tangible, positive changes in their own lives. But how could I confidently guide others if I hadn't fully navigated that path myself?
That realization sparked a new chapter: a dedicated journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. It's a path that has led me to not only manage my anxiety effectively but also to connect more deeply with my self, raise my expectations for life, and embrace abundance.

I’m saying this tongue-in-cheek. “Magnum opus” in terms of what I had written or created up to that point in my life. My future has much grander plans now than just telling people I have anxiety and I’m an alcoholic lol.
I will only take tiny credit for this. They had already knew they needed help and I do not think my post was the deciding factor. They did the really hard work both mentally and physically.
I do not have a set timeline for this and I will keep you informed of my plans. I work a full-time job and your support will allow me to continue to focus time on this endeavor.
